Culture of success: European schools introduce arts subjects to management curriculum

A new study of what's happened to the arts in the mid-Hudson Valley of upstate New York since the economic crisis began, was presented yesterday 22.04.2009. Harvey Seifter led the study and I can only hope that other regions take the arts as seriously and look as closely at their situation. The recommendations addressed individually to each of the constituencies could be applicable to many other locations, as well. The Resource Guide in the back can also be useful to many. Many of you know that Harvey and I are good friends, so I'm promoting the work of a friend, but it's well deserved. The link below is to the report itself. Thanks also to Judy Levine, who worked with Harvey on the report and whose organization, the Community Creativity Foundation, commissioned the study. Perhaps this study can be used as a model for other regions. Harvey is an AACORN member. Ted.
